Rebuilding Victorian Tourism For The Future 

Upskilling digital capabilities in the tourism, events and hospitality industries at a time when it’s needed most.


The Need:

2020 changed and challenged the tourism industry like never before, with a the global pandemic and bushfires leaving damaging and long-lasting impacts, uncertainty and challenges ahead.  


To support the industry get back on its feet and bounce back as quickly as possible Visit Victoria partnered with the Victoria Tourism Industry Council to relaunch the Victorian Tourism Conference 2021. 


Visit Victoria approached us to co-design and deliver a keynote to share inspirational case studies, practical advice and growth marketing tactics that could be easily applied to any business. 

The Solution:

With an increasing number of travellers researching and booking online, upskilling digital capabilities across the industry was identified as key to recovery. 


Working with their Chief Digital Officer and Head of Data and Analytics we co-designed an inspiring and practical 30-minute session to help tourism businesses grow sales via their digital channels.


We shared best-pratice case studies from innovative business and deconstructed step by step what they did and how they leveraged new digital opportunities in creative and cost-effective ways. We wrapped up with live Q&A from the audience to tackle their biggest challenges. 

The Outcome:

900+ Victorian leaders from across the tourism, hospitality and events industry attended our sessions at the Melbourne Convention Centre on 21 April 2021. This was the largest conference in Australia since early 2020. 


Our takeaway resources were downloaded over 300 times and we’ve received overwhelming positive feedback on the value and relevance of our session.
